Hi, I’m Roberto Chang-Silva, a researcher working at the intersection of climate data, spatial AI, and systems. I care about building tools and workflows that make complex, messy problems easier to attack.

This site is where I think in public. I write about research ideas, debugging pipelines, containers and homelab experiments, and the occasional reflection on academic life. Some posts are polished; others are notes and sketches that help me learn and keep track of what I’m doing.

I’m happiest when I’m close to the machinery of research: logs, containers, pipelines, and the infrastructure that lets complex experiments actually run.

I use modern tools including large language models as part of my process, but everything here reflects my own judgment and experience. If something you find here is useful, that’s a bonus; primarily, this space is for documenting and refining how I work.
